Please send me any Tribunal logs you have - you can mail them to me here.
If you are not comfortable sending your entire unedited log file to me, you can download one of the preparse apps listed below. These will run through your logs and parse out just the /who and /guildstatus information, leaving out your private guildchat and tells, etc.
Please do a quick check to see if the timestamps in your logfiles are reasonably correct - in the past we had submissions where the person's clock was totally wrong, creating major inconsistencies in the database.
Please try and avoid opening the logfiles in word processor or text editor that will do linewrapping. A good guideline is to open the file in one of these editors if you want to check it - but DON'T save it. Send me either the log as EQ left it, or the processed output of one of the parsers directly. If lines get wrapped, truncated guildnames can appear in the database.

09/22/03: Large update today - from one submission! Thanks to Waldena for the huge 30MB parsed logfile she submitted. 3,647 new characters and 152 new guilds.

09/10/03: Another new update - 1,013 new characters and no new guilds. Character count is now 103,099.
09/08/03: Small update today: 102,086 characters and 1,430 guilds means 960 new characters and no new guilds.
09/03/03: Today's update brings us to 101,126 characters and 1,430 guilds with 151 new characters and 2 new guilds.
08/28/03: Another update today - we've broken 100,000 characters in the
database. Totals for today are: 100,975 characters and 1,428 guilds (2,821
new characters and 1 new guild).
I've also purged a corrupted log's data - one of the logs loaded a while
back had bad date information, leading to some timeline inconsistencies.
08/22/03: Small update today - 477 characters and 33 guilds added - totals now 98,160 characters and 1,427 guilds.
08/20/03: Another update today - 2,586 characters and 21 guilds added, bringing the totals to 97,683 characters and 1,394 guilds.
08/18/03: Well, a year and a half since the last update and here's the next one. The back-end redesign is complete, so it's now much easier for me to add new logfiles. Thanks for your patience, and if you have logs lying about, send them on and I'll add them in.
Just a quick note - please check your logs to make sure the timestamps are sane - I've had many submissions where folks' clocks were off, and as a result there were some level 60 players appearing in January 2000! Also, please try and avoid opening the processed (or raw) logfiles in a word processor or text editor before sending them. If you do, please ensure that the lines aren't wrapped, as this creates problems for the parser, and leads to truncated guild names.
So, on to the numbers. The character count is now 95,097, and there are 1,373 guilds.
01/17/02: Sorry for the delay in getting this update in. Character count is now 73,154, with 1,229 guilds.
10/24/01: Another update. We've broken 70,000 characters - the count is now 70,223, with (!) 1,176 guilds. Thanks to all that have been sending updates - especially the regular contributors - you know who you are =)
We still can use as much information from 1999/2000 as we can get. If you have logs from that era sitting around, please submit them to round out the early history.
09/25/01: Small update today - character count is 67,153 with 907 guilds.
08/20/01: Character count is now 64,579 with 891 guilds thanks to the contributors for today's update. It contains a lot of data for mid-late 2000.
08/15/01: Character count has broken 60k with this update - we now have 60,062 characters in the database and 749 guilds.
08/07/01: Character count is up to 59,446 and the guild count is 746 in today's update. We are still in need of old logs from 1999 and early 2000. Please send anything you have from this time period, as we are lacking early data on a lot of characters.
07/30/01: New update: Character count is now 58,335 and guild count is 738.
07/23/01: Character count has gone to 54,111 and the guild count has gone to an even 700. Kudos to all those who sent in logs!
07/20/01: New update today, character count has gone to 45,826, and the guildcount has gone to 586! Also, bad guild data has now been completely eradicated. If you see any obvious corrupt records, please let me know.
Also, please visit http://home.inreach.com/kai/EQLogFilter for a visual basic log parser. Those of you running Windows can now parse your logs with ease.
07/16/01: New huge update is in. There are now 44,464 characters in the database, up from 28,752.
07/09/01: Some bad dates got into the last update, this has been fixed - thanks everyone who pointed it out.
